Practice Makes Perfect

We have had several weeks of specific liturgical celebrations recently. While we have already been in ordinary time, we now see the sign of it in our liturgical banners. Green, the color of verdant growth & gentle
fields. Even a desert will grow & flower in the summer. Ordinary time is the time of year when we are able to listen to the gospels of Jesus & grow. A time to be mature & full of faith. Today, in particular, we remember our gracious God the Father in heaven. He has given us a perfect example of what an earthly father should be. Firm, yet gentle, in guiding us as we grow & mature. He has given us the example of Joseph the earthly father of Jesus who was a loving & devoted spouse to our Blessed Mother Mary & the protector of the young Jesus. We give thanks for Father Kevin who is our spiritual guide & we give thanks for our own fathers. They help us to flower & grow & to be green & verdant like ordinary time.

Parish Outreach

Debbie Thompson is coordinating this ministry. She would be very happy to have others go with her to minister to the women. If you would like to share your time and talent with this ministry, please contact her at 422-3507 or 863-1010, or just talk to her after Sunday Mass.

Help Needed: The Bereavement Committee (people of the Parish that provide food for a meal for the families after a funeral) needs your help in providing a dish for this ministry. If you are willing to be put on the food calling list
to bring a dish for funerals please contact Charlene Lawson at 270-422-2087. Thank you

Who is interested in a night out?

Parents, if there is enough interest, we will offer a night out on a Friday or Saturday night in June. Free childcare for children age 4-12. There will be games, basketball, movies, toys, and more. The event is free (donations accepted). Please let me know if you would be interested and if you prefer a Friday or Saturday.
Our Junior Youth ministry is having a yard sale on June 23 in the front parking lot. 3 ways you can help! 1) Donations accepted – anything that should sell. NO CLOTHES unless baby clothes. Bring your donation to the parish office before June 7th.
